NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT

NEW ACTIVE FILTER IC IS E2 PROGRAMMABLE FOR CORNER OR CENTER REQUENCY

SAN JOSE, California, December 2, 2003---Engineers at Mixed Signal Integration have developed a new integrated circuit called the MSEPAF that uses E2 technology to program the corner or center frequency of an active filter. The Electrically Programmable Active Filter chip is a continuous time 4th order filter that can be set as a lowpass or bandpass function.

There is an on-chip EEPROM to store the 10 bit word which represents the center frequency for the bandpass or the corner frequency for the lowpass. The filter has a range from 500 kHz to 18 MHz The MSEPAF operates from a single supply of 5 V DC. Typical operating current is set by an external bias resistor and can be as low as 200 uA for a 500 kHz filter frequency.

The MSEPAF is packaged in a 16 pin plastic SOIC. Operating temperature is –40 to +85 degrees C. In 10,000 piece quantities, the MSEPAF costs $3.90 each.
